Stockwell Enterprise Payments is an independent brokerage for Credit Card Processing. This industry is full of publicly traded companies trying to make their quarterly projections off of the sweat of the merchants. We are on the side of the merchant, making sure we are providing great service and the lowest rates in the industry. After 20 plus years in the industry, we’re very good at keeping our clients thrilled, not just happy.
What brought your business to Guthrie?
I was born in Guthrie and both sides of my family have called Guthrie home for my entire life. I serve as the Board Chairman for The State Capital Publishing Museum and have made lifelong friendships in Guthrie as a result. My business in credit card processing is yet another way I can serve the town of Guthrie, making sure none of my friends are getting taken advantage of by the big bloated banks and processors.
How long has your business been in operation?
I have been in merchant services my entire professional career, since 1999. I founded Stockwell Enterprises in 2014 and became an independent agent. It has been an enormous blessing as I don’t have a boss or a board of directors looking to squeeze profits out of my portfolio. Instead, I get to ride in on my white horse and actually help merchants to understand processing and how to pay as little as possible while expecting world-class service and support.
Tell us a little about the background of your business.
I’ve held almost every position in the business, from sales manager to VP of sales at some of the biggest brands (WorldPay/Heartland/Clearent), and now Founder. My passion is simplifying the complex. The Payments function is not very complex but most companies will try and make you feel like it is, so you don’t ask questions. I love questions! My goal is to be a real partner for your business. We are here to serve, period.
What makes your business stand out from other businesses offering similar services or products?
In a word….ME! The product is basically a commodity, you can get a Merchant Processing account set up almost anywhere. Because I’m not chasing an arbitrary quota to keep paying huge executive salaries I get to be a HUMAN with you. I’m not in a hurry and I appreciate taking time to really learn about your business and how I may be able to help add workflow efficiency and increase cashflow, so you can reinvest those funds where it can impact your business the most. Plus, as an independent broker I can access the entire payments landscape to dial-in the perfect solution for you, as opposed to most others who only have access to their company’s catalog.
