Benefits of Investing
Investing in the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce allows us to work toward the growth and development of Guthrie and our surrounding area. When our community prospers — your business grows. Below are some avenues and benefits the Chamber can offer to assist in the development of your business.
Exposure
Advertising: We are an information hub. You will receive exposure through many facets such as providing information in our office and providing New Resident bags which are distributed at City Hall and Rural Water District No. 1 for new Guthrie residents.
Website: Our website receives between 1,000 to 3,500 hits per month. GuthrieChamber.com contains a full business directory, calendar of events and can include your logo as well. (Ask for details)
Social Media: We are extremely active on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We push out information daily! Our social media is a great resource for giving our Chamber Investors more exposure.
Event Sponsorships: Market your business while supporting a Chamber event. There are many opportunities available throughout the year to fit any businesses budget including but not limited to Chamber Banquet, Cornhole Tournament, Golf Tournament, etc.
Weekly Email Blast: Our weekly email is sent out to over 1,500 people. You can promote an event, special or even have your logo on it every week. (Ask for details)
Investor to Investor Program: This program allows you to offer discounts to other businesses and to also take advantage of other business discounts. This encourages shopping local and promoting each other’s businesses! To view current discounts and get your information added visit our promotions page.
#ChooseGuthrie: We promote shopping local through our #ChooseGuthrie campaign. When you shop Guthrie, you provide much needed sales tax dollars to our city, and it also helps our local business community support our many wonderful non-profit organizations.
Ribbon Cutting: We host ceremonies for all new businesses, major remodels and business relocations.
Tourism: We promote Guthrie through our Chamber Directory, trade shows, advertising in numerous travel magazines and utilizing Social Media.
Online Directory, Calendar & Login: All investors of the Chamber are listed in the searchable business directory, access to calendar to share upcoming events and your own login to give access to your account online at GuthrieChamber.com.
Chamber Guide to Guthrie: Yearly magazine put out by the Chamber that highlights all of Guthrie’s events, attractions and venues. Every Chamber investor has a listing as well as the opportunity to have an ad. Given to new residents, placed in hotels and business in town, and beyond. This year they were placed in business in Edmond and OKC and have gone as far as Israel and Australia.
Relationship Building
Networking: We provide networking opportunities, including our weekly Chamber Coffees (anywhere from 40-80 people) and monthly Business After Hours. (Average around 20)
Committees: The combined efforts of all the Chamber committees (Ambassadors, Business Council, Education & Workforce and Legislation) lend support to the quality of life afforded in Guthrie that attracts people to move, work and live here.
Business Spotlight: Twice a month we chose a business to focus on. Promotion done through weekly newsletter, blog, social media and at events. Available upon request.
Business Advocacy
Legislative Advocacy: The Chamber advocates to support issues that will better our community at the local, regional, state, and federal levels. We strive to make sure the voices of Guthrie area businesses are represented.
Legislative Forum: This forum provides an opportunity for you to be an advocate for Guthrie and express your questions and concerns before our area legislators and business leaders. Investor participation produce opportunities to discuss incentive programs, immigration, to our state budget.
