January 2020 – Guthrie Rainbow Assembly International Order of the Rainbow For Girls

Tell us about your upcoming event.

Event – Father / Daughter Dance , (ages 2-18), February 8, 2020 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Guthrie Upper Elementary School (702 Crooks Drive) $5 / person

This annual event has an attendance of 600-700 every year. It is so rewarding to see so many Dads / Grandads bring their little girls to a dance and night out on the town.

What is one thing that makes your business great?

The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit organization that prepares young girls (ages 11-20) for the future – “Rainbow Gets Girls Ready for Life.”

Adult Advisors try to create a safe, caring environment where young ladies (ages 11-20) can learn Leadership Skills, Public Speaking, Community Service, Patriotism, Poise, and Confidence.

Why is Guthrie a great community to be a part of?

Guthrie is a great community because there is always something happening in our town and there are always people that you can to to for help and assistance.. Rainbow Girls have many opportunities to be involved and do community service. Our community is good to the youth of our town.

Why is your company a part of the Chamber?

To expose the girls to more opportunities in Guthrie and to spread the word about our great organization.

What is the last thing that made you smile?

The delivery of 159 formal dresses for the girls that I didn’t expect to arrive for at least another month.
