August 2021 – Ladybug Lane
Tell us about your business.
This is my first year in Business. Ladybug Lane is a Fresh Cut Flower Farm, and we sell fresh rainbow eggs. This summer I will have about a half an acre worth of fresh cut flowers. I hope to grow to a full acre next year. This year I will be offering CSA subscriptions and bouquets for farmers markets and pop up shops. My goal for next year is to begin to sell wholesale as well as to offer you cut flower fields and bouquet building classes.
What is one thing that makes your business great?
Who doesn’t love flowers? They can change a mood in a minute! I think that what will be great for Guthrie is that I will be able to be a great source for LOCAL grown flowers that last. I can provide flowers to florists, events and individuals. As we continue our growth and build onto the farm, we can begin to make it an agritourism destination for Guthrie and Logan county.
Why is Guthrie a great community to be a part of?
Guthrie is a fantastic community to be a part of because there is such a sense of history and pride. Guthrie is close knit, supportive and really works together to spotlight the businesses in town and the economic growth in the community. Guthrie is a place that people travel not only to see, but to be a part of. It’s pretty amazing here and I am happy to be a part of it!
Why is your company a part of the Chamber?
My business is a part of the chamber because I believe in business and this community. I believe that we can all work together as business owners to make this the absolute best place to live and visit. I want to be a business owner that takes pride in my town and our economic growth and I want to meet and work with the people in the Guthrie that are just as passionate about these values to showcase our strength as a community.
What is the last thing that made you smile?
Flowers, of course!
