As The Crow Flies

Tell us about your business.

We are As The Crow Flies: Skilled Trades & Restorations (ATCF). We are a family-owned and operated, custom carpentry company here in Guthrie, OK. We believe in delivering integrity, craftsmanship, and a finished product you can trust – from start to finish.

What is one thing that makes your business great?

We are a father and son duo, I (Aaron Rooney) started the company when I saw the need for building and home restoration here in Guthrie. Not long after, my dad, Russ Rooney, joined the company, and we now tackle projects as a team. Dad has years and years of construction and home building experience so I am learning from him every day. My wife runs our social accounts and my mom makes us merchandise and ensures that we are well taken care of. You’ll even see my little boy running around some of our work sites. We’ve made Guthrie our home and we want to see it thrive. We truly love what we do and where we do it, our ‘why’ is all around us every day.

Why is Guthrie a great community to be a part of?

Guthrie is the epitome of hometown. The parades and events, the supportive community spirit, the walkability, and the amenities. It’s all exactly what we were looking for when we were looking for ‘home’. This is where we want to raise our kids and this is where we want to employ our talents.

Why is your company a part of the Chamber?

We joined the chamber to build closer connections with the business community in Guthrie. My wife is a member of  Guthrie’s Territorial Christmas Foundation and I (Aaron) am on the Planning Commission. We wanted another avenue to be involved, so after two years of being in business and growing in the community, we decided it was time to invest in our amazing Chamber! We are excited about the Chamber events and the personal connections that this will build for us!

"I joined the Chamber to help bridge the gap between the business community, the City of Guthrie, organizations, our schools and neighbors because we are all invested. When we work together with the help of the Chamber, we thrive as a community. "

Menecca Gibbs, Owner of Cleveland & Co. Mercantile

"The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce is a great partner in the community. As an active Church, it is important to us to be connected to businesses and other organizations that value relationship within the community. The Chamber goes above and beyond to make sure everyone stays connected with weekly events and fun activities. We love being a part of the Chamber!"

Ronnie Fields, First Christian Church

"The Guthrie News Leader regularly partners with the chamber as our goals are the same: connect businesses to the community. We not only enjoy attending the events the chamber presents, but also co-sponsoring events together. We’ve met new customers, contacts and lifelong friends through the chamber and we consider them part of our team."
